Google changed your hours, name or other info
Google edits profiles itself, using reports from users and other sources. You can usually reject the change, but if your website says something else, the wrong info tends to come back.

Profile is live but nobody finds it? The Google profile audit (€19) checks completeness, photos, categories and your latest reviews against Google's own ranking advice and gives you a ranked fix list (built for restaurants, cafés and shops). How the audit works.
How Google updates profiles
From Understand Google updates on your Business Profile:
- Google gathers info "from different sources, like user reports and licensed content", and may update your profile if those sources say it is wrong or outdated.
- In the profile editor, info changed by Google is shown in blue. A notification appears at the top of the page.
- For some suggested edits you get an email or in-product notification and "have 4 days to accept or reject the suggestion".
- If you don't respond within 4 days, Google "may automatically publish the update if it is supported by other publicly available information, such as your business website".
- Google can also apply user edits "without prior review" when needed to meet policy guidelines.
How to fix it
- Open Edit profile and look for fields in blue.
- Reject the wrong update or type the correct value and save. Google says you "can always update your Business Profile directly".
- Fix the source. Your website, booking pages and directory listings should show the same hours, name and phone. Since Google checks public info, a stale website is the usual reason the edit returns.
- Use special hours for holidays and temporary closures instead of changing your regular hours (Google's editing help).
- Answer the 4-day notifications. Silence lets the update go live.
- If you use bulk spreadsheets, Google notes that a blank field "may" let an automatic update apply.
When it is a name change
If Google removed words from your business name, it may be applying its name guidelines. Putting the keywords back can lead to a suspension. See keywords in the name.
