Account restricted: all your profiles are suspended
When the problem is the account and not one profile, appealing the profiles first is wasted effort. Google says the account restriction has to be lifted first.
Not sure which rule you broke?
Start with the free suspension risk checker: answer 13 quick questions and get a risk score plus the Google rule and fix guide behind each point. Nothing is sent to us.
Or let a person do it: ProfileRescue checks your listing and website against each guideline, ranks the likely causes for your case and writes the appeal text plus an evidence checklist, in English and Spanish, as a PDF for €29 (launch price, €49 from 1 Dec 2026). We cannot reinstate profiles or remove reviews, and we say so plainly.
What Google says
- "If a merchant displays a pattern of violating Google Business Profile policies, they may have their Business Profile access restricted", and "all Business Profiles associated with that account will be suspended" (Business Profile policies).
- Content added from a restricted account is rejected until the account is reinstated.
- If the profile was created through an account for another Google product, a restriction there "may result in suspension of the Business Profile".
- A Google Account that is disabled, suspended or deleted must be fixed before you can access the Business Profile.
- With a restriction you also "won't be able to create or claim other profiles" (Fix suspended or disabled profiles).
The order to appeal in
- The account first. Google says to give a reason and submit an appeal for the account on your My accounts page, where you can also track its status.
- Then each profile. "Once the account restriction is lifted", appeal the Business Profile suspension in the appeals tool.
- More than 10 profiles: the appeals tool offers a bulk reinstatement request with a spreadsheet of profile IDs and documents.
Before you appeal
- Find the pattern. An account restriction means Google saw repeated violations, often the same one across profiles: keyword names, virtual offices, duplicates, or fake reviews.
- Fix it on every profile, not just one.
- If an agency manages your profiles, check what it changed. Google holds the account responsible.
- Don't open a new Google account to start over. Google says not to create a new profile for the same business.
FAQ
Why were all my Google Business Profiles suspended at once?
Google says that when an account is restricted for a pattern of policy violations, all profiles associated with that account are suspended.
Do I appeal the account or the profile first?
The account. Google says to appeal the restriction on your My accounts page, then appeal each profile once it is lifted.
Can I just create a new account?
Google says not to create a new Business Profile for the same business, and a restricted account can't create or claim profiles.
