Locksmith: Google Business Profile suspended
Suspension-risk level for this category: High · Business model: Usually a service-area business: hide the address and set a realistic service area.
Triggers we see most for locksmith profiles
- Google treats locksmiths as one of the most spam-prone categories, so new or edited profiles get extra review
- A home address shown publicly instead of hidden as a service area
- Several profiles for the same business in nearby towns (lead-gen pattern)
Also check the general triggers
- Business name exactly as on your signage, website and registration, no extra keywords or cities
- Address: no virtual offices, PO boxes or coworking desks unless staffed and signed
- Same name, phone and website on the profile, your site and invoices
- Don't edit name, address, category and phone all at once; big edits trigger re-verification
- One profile per business per location; remove duplicates instead of creating new ones
Appeal steps
- Fix every trigger above before appealing; Google re-checks the profile as it is now
- Open the appeal from Google's Business Profile appeals tool while signed in as the owner
- Upload evidence: business registration, a utility bill or lease with the exact name and address, a photo of permanent signage or branded vehicle
- Category-specific evidence: locksmith licence where required, branded van photos, invoices to customers
- After reinstatement, avoid editing the profile for about 2 weeks
